KC Water works with developers, plumbers, contractors, and other professionals to expand, maintain, and improve the water distribution and wastewater and stormwater management systems.  Please see below the City Ordinances, Rules and Regulations, Standards and Specifications, and other important technical specification documents approved by the director of KC Water for this work.

Design and construction of new stormwater infrastructure that will become a City asset and proposals to alter existing stormwater infrastructure are managed by the Planning and Development Department, Land Development Division. Rules and Regulations for Water Service Lines, and Water Main Extensions and Relocations

KC Water proposes revising and updating the Rules and Regulations for Water Service Lines; and the Rules and Regulations for Water Main Extensions and Relocations.

Revisions to the Rules and Regulations for Water Service Lines and the Rules and Regulations for Water Main Extensions and Relocations are proposed to clean up and clarify language within the documents and update permit cost items.

A draft of all proposed Rules and Regulations and a summary of major changes and provisions of each are posted at www.kcwater.us/projects/rulesandregulations.
