Sewer Rehabilitation: Delaware Alley
Sewer rehabilitation work is progressing northward in the alley east of Delaware Street. Fifth Street is and will remain open, but access from 5th Street to the alley in both directions is temporarily closed. Motorists who regularly park in the area have been notified of alternative parking arrangements. CURRENT WATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
Blue River Biosolids Facility
KC Water has started construction on a $150 million renewable resource facility that will eliminate the use of incinerators to process waste while providing a reusable resource. When completed in 2024, this will be the largest facility of its type in the Midwest and one of only nine in the United States. Smart Sewer
KC Water is in the midst of a 30-year, multibillion-dollar investment to protect public health and the environment and enable Kansas City’s sewer systems to work effectively for generations to come.
