Water Quality Grants

KC Water wants to improve public knowledge of the effect of human activities on water quality and change community behavior to protect water resources and water infrastructure. In addition to KC Water’s own education and outreach programs, we support nonprofit organizations, schools, community groups, environmental, and educational organizations with similar missions through an annual Water Quality Grant Program.

Projects or activities typically involve public education about stormwater runoff; public action to reduce the impact of stormwater runoff; or public education about – or public action to protect – local waterways and associated natural resources or public infrastructure.

Water Quality Grant project proposals for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2021, are currently under review and will be announced in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your interest and for what you do to improve water quality and water education in Kansas City.
