Water Main Break Repairs Will Affect Northland Kansas City, Missouri Neighborhood

Posted on January 14, 2016

(Kansas City, MO) – Due to a water main break and the anticipation of freezing temperatures tomorrow, KC Water crews will be making necessary water main repairs this evening, affecting approximately 200 homes in Kansas City’s Northland. The affected area stretches from the Gladstone City Limits east to N Hardesty Avenue/N Charleston Avenue, and from NE 65th Terrace north to NE 73rd Street (please see map below). This area includes the Charleston Harbor Homes Association.

In order to make repairs, water service will be turned off at approximately 9:00 p.m. KC Water is delaying starting repairs until 9:00 p.m. in the hopes that most customers will have a chance to return home from their day and have dinner by that time. Depending on the difficulty of the repair, water service is anticipated to be restored by 2:00 a.m., Friday, January 15.

We thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we make necessary repairs this evening.

If customers have any questions or concerns, please call 816.513.1313 or 311.
