(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 9564 Charlotte St. at 10:18 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020. The overflow ended at 6:00 p.m. the same day. Wastewater surfaced and entered into Dyke Branch Creek after crews found a broken main. Contract repair crews have fully contained the wastewater and are bypass pumping the wastewater back into the sewer. Repairs are being implemented on the 36 inch sewer to restore normal flow to the collection system.
