Update: Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow near 8625 Troost Ave.

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 8625 Troost Avenue. The overflow began at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 and ended at 4:48 p.m. the same day. Wastewater surfaced and entered into an unnamed creek which leads into the Blue River. Crews opened a grease stoppage and restored flow to the 8 inch collection system. Signs were posted and lime applied to affected area.
