Update: Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow near 416 Manchester Avenue

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 416 Manchester Ave. at 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020. The overflow ended at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020. Crews found wastewater entering the Blue River from two flap gates on the levee. Crews investigated upstream and found a broken 12” sanitary sewer main. Cleaning crews pumped the sewage and the lines were repaired. Signs were posted.
