Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow near 30 West 31st Terrace

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 30 West 31st Terrace at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021. The overflow ended at 8:34 p.m. the same day. KC Water investigators were performing dye testing in a sewer manhole to confirm the correct sewer line segment.  The green dye and wastewater surfaced and entered into Penn Valley Lake. Cleaning crews are onsite to check the structure. Signs will be posted near the site alerting the public of the overflow and to avoid the area.
