Out of an abundance of caution, KC Water is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory to 12 customers on Wenzel Avenue between E 105th street and E 107th.
Sewage leaked into a damaged water main as it was being repaired. KC Water crews immediately cut off water from that pipe while it tests the water and finishes repairs.
Under an Advisory, it is recommended that customers follow these guidelines:
· Boil drinking water for three minutes before using it to drink, cook, or prepare food
· Do not make ice during an advisory
· Tap water is safe for bathing
· Use boiled water for brushing teeth
Customers will receive notification that the advisory has been lifted after the tap water has been tested and water quality has been confirmed.
Customers with questions or concerns may contact KC Water by calling 816-513-1313.
