Crews are returning to project site for starting Monday, July 20
After a pause in work during the World Cup matches in Kansas City, KC Water and field crews are resuming work on the Westport Stormwater Improvements project on Monday, July 20th. The resumption of work will include the closing of two streets in the Westport Area.
Two road closures are in the immediate future:

Mill Street at Southwest Trafficway will close Monday, 7/20

Westport Rd. between Mill St. and Bridger Rd. is anticipated to close Monday, 7/27

Mill Street at Westport Road will remain open and accessible to businesses and driveways. Both closures are anticipated to last until later this fall. See the closure maps for more details.
Remaining work includes further storm sewer improvements, streetscaping and final road resurfacing. The project is anticipated to wrap up by the end of the year.
