KC Water HHW Facility Reopens After Closure Due to Broken Heater

Posted on January 8, 2022

(Kansas City, MO) – KC Water’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at 4707 Deramus Avenue will resume normal operations at 9:00 this morning. The facility had to close Thursday due to a broken heater and bitter cold temperatures.  While most of the repairs have been completed, the facility may still need to close intermittently today to help the building fully heat up.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience.

The Household Hazardous Waste facility accepts household chemicals and hazardous materials from residents in Kansas City and more than two dozen surrounding communities. For more information about what items are accepted, COVID protocols and hours of operation please go to https://www.kcwater.us/programs/hhw/.
