Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow Near Walker Road & 210 Highway

Posted on May 21, 2019

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water is responding to a wastewater overflow near Walker Road and 210 Highway.  A power outage at a pump station this morning along with heavy rain caused the overflow of a diversion structure and allowed wastewater to spill into Rock Creek which flows into the Missouri River.

Power has been restored and the amount of the overflow has subsided.  A total amount will be determined once the overflow ends.  Because of the rain the wastewater is significantly diluted.
