Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow Near 4700 Green Hills Road

Posted on May 21, 2019

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 4700 Green Hills Road at 1:45 a.m. on May 21st, 2019.  Heavy rain overwhelmed the Burlington Creek pump station which allowed wastewater to spill into Burlington Creek and that creek leads to the Missouri River.

A total amount of wastewater will be determined once the overflow ends.  However, because of the rain the wastewater is significantly diluted.
