Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow near 4605 Virginia Ave.

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 4605 Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 where crews found a 27-inch sewer main plugged with rock. Wastewater surfaced and entered into Brush Creek. The overflow ended at 4:30 p.m. the same day. Contract crews have been called to remove the rock. Signs will be posted near the site alerting the public of the overflow and to avoid the area.
