Customers Advised of Wastewater Overflow Near 11011 NE Birmingham Road

Posted on May 21, 2019

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water is responding to a wastewater overflow near 11011 NE Birmingham Road.  The wastewater pump station at this location is operating at full capacity, but is receiving more flow than it can pump. The overflow began at 7:30 this morning and is spilling wastewater into Shoal Creek which leads to the Missouri River.  Crews are managing the overflow.  A total amount will be determined once the overflow ends.  Because of the rain the wastewater is significantly diluted.
