(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 4829 Agnes Avenue on Wednesday, September 20th at 11:20 a.m. The overflow was the result of a grease stoppage in an 8” sewer main. The overflow ended at 3:40 p.m. the same day and resulted in an overflow of 2,600 gallons of wastewater. The overflow reached a catch basin that leads to Brush Creek.
Cleaning crews jetted the clogged main. Cleaning crews washed down the curb line and applied lime to the grassy area. Workers are using CCTV to ensure the stoppage is completely removed.
