Customers Advised About Wastewater Overflow Near 10427 N. Virginia Avenue

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 10427 N. Virginia Ave. on Thursday, April 13 just after 9:45 a.m. The overflow was the result of debris blocking an 18” sewer line. The overflow ended at 11:30 a.m. the same day and resulted in 270 gallons of wastewater being discharged into an unnamed creek that leads to a pond.

Cleaning crews opened the clogged pipe. CCTV crews will televise the line to ensure all debris has been removed. Lime will be applied to the affected area.
