KC Water’s 2025 Annual Water Quality Report confirms that the drinking water provided to more than 178,000 connections continues to meet federal and state drinking water standards. Water is sourced primarily from the Missouri River and groundwater wells that we continue to rigorously test throughout the year as part of our public safeguards. Results from those tests showed that all regulated contaminants remain well below established health-based limits, demonstrating KC Water’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality drinking water. While the report notes administrative monitoring and notification violations related to Lead and Copper Rule requirements, no lead action levels were exceeded, and there were no findings indicating the water was unsafe to drink. KC Water remains dedicated to ongoing monitoring, regulatory compliance, and investing in the infrastructure needed to protect public health and provide reliable drinking water for the community.
